Loftus & District Flower Club Who We Are. In 1991, Sheila Gibson Mattison founded Loftus and District Flower Club, to be enjoyed by flower arrangers and people who just love flowers. We meet at Loftus Town Hall on the third Monday of every month, with members from Loftus, Brotton, Easington,Whitby and the surrounding area and are affiliated with NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies)
We have a wide range of presentations by qualified Demonstrators and Florists, and hold several workshops a year, suitable for all abilities.
Our summer luncheon at Grinkle Park and Christmas Demonstration at Skelton are all ways very popular with our members and visitors.
And we now have an afternoon tea event with flower demonstration at Tocketts Mill in the Spring.
We will show a wide range of beautiful and interesting arrangements, with modern and traditional techniques. And end each evening with raffle so you may win an arrangement to take home. You do not need to be able to arrange flowers, you just need to enjoy them.
We also hold a childrens workshop at St. Margarets Church Brotton every year and have an entry at The Great Stokesley Show. We have also had a stall Loftus Wool Fair where we demonstrated flower arranging andraffled mini arrangements for charity.
So come and join us as a members or just as a visitor, you will be made very welcome.
