CALLERTON GARDEN AND FLOWER CLUB

As our Club name implies, as well as inviting floral art demonstrators, we also have speakers on subjects such as particular gardens and plant varieties. Members also bring plants in for sale, which helps provide income for the club and access to varieties you may not already have in your garden. In addition we hold some “in house” activities which provide a good opportunity for socialising as well as encouraging participation by members.
Our Club has 50+ members and meets in Ponteland CIU, situated on Merton Way, we meet on the second Wednesday at 2pm each month.
There are no club meetings in July or August. After our meetings members can go to the CIU
lounge area for refreshments.
Every July, instead of our normal meeting, we make a day visit to a place of particular interest,
which provides gardens, a house visit and refreshment facilities, as well as an opportunity to
invite friends. This year we visited Floors Castle, near Kelso.
